Life is made up of small pleasures. Happiness is made up of those tiny successes. The big ones come too infrequently. And if you don’t collect all these tiny successes, the big ones don’t really mean anything.
Just saw Karen the nutritionist. I had a pretty good week, both in regards to food and exercise, so I was hoping to be down a couple pounds. After four weeks of staying steady, and not losing anything, I was hoping to see some results. And I did. When she weighed me I was down by 2 pounds. I was so thrilled about that. 2 more pounds to go to be down a stone, that’s 14 pounds in total. Its great to be seeing results again. I think increasing the exercise really helped, as well as eating more fruit and vegetables. I couldn’t believe I’d lost weight, since I had my cousins 18th birthday party last Sunday and I’d eaten a slice of cake with cream and chocolate in it. Other than that though I hadn’t really had anything bad this past week. It feels good to be back on track again.
So I got weighed today, And I got a great result. I was down 1.5 pounds. Considering I was on vacation and had a couple of treats, I think thats brilliant. Now I just need to motivate myself to exercise more. I think if I exercise more I will see even better results. She measured my waste too. I am down 3 CM since I started. That is 1.5 inches. She told me that one inch is a dress size. So another half an inch and I’ll be down 2 dress sizes! Yay so proud and happy. We set some new goals. I decided for the next six weeks I’d work on my exercise, and hopefully up it and really start getting into it. I’m doing ok with both food and my water intake. I dont think I need much guidance there. I joked with Karen that I could probably teach her group for her, she runs a group each friday for people who are losing weight. I prefer individual sessions though. Not sure I’d feel comfortable in a group setting. Overall though I am happy and very pleased with my results.
> Well my day got very busy. i got up at 6 even though i’d set my alarm to go off between 7 30 and 8 AM. I got the sleep cycle alarm clock last night and started using it and I love it. Its a really useful ap. I only payed 99 cent for it too which was nice. Its totally accessible too which I like. Anyway. My PA came at 9 AM and we cleaned my house. She washed my dishes which she didnt have to do so that was nice. She vacumed and put my washing on and hung out my wet washing to dry. She took out my rubbish and cleaned my work surfaces and stuff too which I was happy about. At 10 aM we walked for 2 miles to the local grocery store, it took us half an hour to walk 2 miles. I was exhausted when we got there but at least i got my exercise in for the day. We had breakfast in the restaurant at the store. I had toast and some sausages and a mug of hot tea. After we ate we went to the grocery part because I needed some stuff. I didnt need much but I did buy sparkling water, 8 bottles of it, 2 litre bottles. I also got honeydew melon, bllueberries, crisp breads, cream cheese which was low fat, and cashu nuts unsalted ones. We got a taxi home because there is no way we could have carried all that stuff. When we got home and packed the stuff away my PA did my ironing which there was quite a lot of. Then it was time to go to our parents and she dropped me off there. I had lunch of cream cheese on crisp breads and some melon. Now I’m just catching up on my email and texting with friends and blogging. I’m going to have a prertty chilled out evening, I dont have any plans. I like when I can relax though too, thats always nice. My sister wont be coming to our moms today or tomorrow because she’s going out with friends and also with her partners sister..they’re going to take their kids some places. So its just us and our parents and the dogs. Hope your all having a great Saturday. > carol anne
Yesterday turned out to be a wonderful day. I went out for the day with a group from the basement club. We went to Killarney, a local tourist spot about an hour and a half away from where we live. We went on a bus which was annoying, because I’m not a huge fan of traveling on buses, and then while we were on the bus we had a bit of a drama with another passenger. She was trying to hold a seat for her friend who was getting on at another stop but the driver said she wasnt allowed to hold a seat and then all hell broke lose. I had two seats because Nitro was with me and I was just waiting for something to kick off and for someone to say I was in the wrong…but luckily nobody said anything. When we got to killarney we went for lunch. I had sweet and sour chicken with rice which was really tasty. We had a choice of four dishes from their menu. After lunch we went to an icecream parlour for icecream. It was pretty expensive but the staff at the basement club payed for all of us so that was nice. The icecream was home made and there were some unique flavours like butterscotch, irish coffee, rum and raisin, honeycomb, etc. Of course they had vanilla and chocolate too but I got honeycomb and it was absolutely gorgeous. We all got small cones and I’m glad because you could not eat a ton of that ice cream, it was too lucious. After we’d finished our ice cream some of the members of the group went shopping, while others of us went to the national park, before we came home on the bus again. So it was a good day and I’m glad I went. When I came home I went to my parents for a few hours. Then last night I crashed because I was so tired out. Today I am seeing Eileen and Karen the nutritionist. I see Karen at 12:30 for my weigh in and I see eileen at 3:30.
